Family Photo Essay
Lately I’ve been working on my portfolio for the Photography program that I am currently. Instead of creating a typical portfolio of images that aren’t meant to get me a job in the field, I decided to treat this as an opportunity to create a new art piece! I wanted to base it off of my family, and make it more of a documentation piece to show how I truly see them.
So far, the images haven’t been turning out how I thought they would. Overtime I create a new image, I am always not happy with it. I’ve been really struggling with this project, since I can’t seem to get what I envision in my head into a physical representation. After discussing it with a close friend of mine, she suggested to take wider shots, instead of the up close shots I was taking, and then maybe it would feel more to what I wanted. I am going to try this in my next re-shoot session and see if this is what makes it better.
